Shopping in the
Lake District can be exciting, many small villages with many small shops
tucked away in tiny alley ways behind the hussle and bustle of the main
high street, theres something for everyone you will also find most of
the major city high street brands in most major towns throughout the
Lake District. Shopping is a pass time of many visitors finding little
momentos or something for a relative back home, shops in the lake District
have wide ranges on offer, you can even get the Lake District thimble
to add to your collection, or the tea spoon and even the badge for your

some of its great dishes for example - Gingerbread from Grasmere, Hawkshead
Relish, Cumberland Sausage, Mintcake from Kendal, and probably the worst
one for the figure, Sticky Toffee Pudding from Cartmel.

Ambleside has the
well known garden centre, Hayes Garden World offering everything for
your garden from soil and chippings to trees and sheds and lots of ideas
for your garden theres also Webbs Garden Centre in the historic market
town of Kendal.
