Description: The Hill is a 4 star, Silver Award B&B in an elegant Lakeland home which dates from the early 1800’s; it is set within a magnificent topiary garden, surrounded by countryside. Only 12 miles from junction 36 of the M6 motorway, situated on the A591 between Kendal and Windermere, The Hill is an ideal base from which to explore some of the Lake Districts finest scenery or for a break in a long journey north or south.

Ings Village is also the home of the Watermill Inn, CAMRA award winning pub with a national reputation for good food and real ales. The Hill has three bedrooms individually decorated with en-suite shower rooms; 300 thread count pure cotton sheets, luxury mattress toppers and down pillows; our bedrooms are as comfortable as they are attractive.

We know that a hearty breakfast is the best way to start the day and we offer a traditional Cumbrian breakfast, a good selection of quality products, many of them local; freshly prepared and served in our family dining room.
