Camping holiday in the lakes
I stayed at a lovely campsite just outside of Ambleside which I found on the internet. It is run by the National Trust and has all the necessary facilities.
I wanted to hike up to Scafell Pike and this campsite is one of the most popular starting points. And although, like many other hikers, I encountered some rain, the view from the top is absolutely outstanding and worth the effort.
I thoroughly enjoyed my camping holiday in the lake district and would have no hesitation in recommending this kind of holiday to my friends and family.
