We have been on balloon flights all over the UK but have to admit, the Lake District does posses that something that makes it look great and pleasing to the eye, this expanse of natural beauty looks even better from the sky than you could imagine from the ground.
Looking down on Ambleside, Grasmere and other small villages dotted over the landscape everywhere you look you can see handfulls of cottages, pubs and churches on the horizon, we went high enough to see towards Cockermouth and the western shoreline of Cumbria, the Lakes is definatly the place for a hot air balloon flight.
