Some times you just need a break, well me and my husband had a long weekend in Windermere, we booked into a small guest house in Windermere village itself.
We had a wonderful time just relaxing in luxury, excellent breakfast and they even provided us with maps and lunch, lovely local bread with a nice pudding called sticky toffee, out of this world.
If any of my friends ask for a good place to go for a weekend I recommend the lakes District first.
