Camping in Windermere
I have just returned home from a wonderful camping holiday in Windermere, I enjoyed it so much I just had to share my experience with you. Lake Windermere is one of the most beautiful destinations I have been to on my travels and I would recommend it to anyone looking to take a break from the hustle and bustle of city life.
The camp site I stayed at was surrounded by some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world, with numerous excellent walking and hiking trails available to explore the surrounding landscape. The top of Orrest Head offers one of the finest views of the Lakes.
Windermere itself has much to see and do; I thoroughly enjoyed heading down to the local pub and mingling with the locals while enjoying a few pints. I will most definitely return for another camping trip in the very near future.
