Description: Wastwater, in Wasdale Valley, is the most picturesque of all the lakes in the Lake District. This is the deepest lake in England, at the foot of England’s highest mountain, Scafell Pike. The lake is surrounded by Red Pike, Kirk Fell and Great Gable mountains. There are a few walking trails that explore the beautiful scenery surrounding the lake.
